About IT Business Digest
Enterprise tech news for the people who buy and run it.
IT Business Digest covers enterprise technology for IT decision makers at mid-size US companies: CIOs, IT directors, security leads and infrastructure managers. These readers buy and run enterprise software, and most of them don't have an analyst on call.
Every story answers one question first: what does this change for your budget, your contracts or your risk?
What we publish
Two or three news stories go up every weekday by 8 a.m. US Eastern. On Wednesdays, Patch priority lists the vulnerabilities to fix first, with a plain reason for each. On Fridays, the Pricing and licensing watch covers vendor price changes, license rule changes and end-of-support dates that affect IT budgets. Longer explainers cover the technology and buying decisions that keep coming up.
Sections
We cover six areas: AI, Security, Cloud and infrastructure, Data and analytics, Software and SaaS, and Deals and vendors.
The desk
Stories are written by Jordan Hale (editor), Morgan Reid (security and infrastructure) and Avery Lane (AI and software). How we report, source and correct stories is set out in our editorial standards.
